1. EMURGO Africa, a Regional Commercial Arm of Cardano Blockchain
First, we, EMURGO Africa, is a part of founding entities of Cardano blockchain. Cardano blockchain is a decentralized 3rd gen proof-of-stake blockchain network. ย It is the only blockchain which is proven by peer-reviewed academic papers. Cardanoโs development has been led by Charles Hoskinson, co-founder and former CEO of Ethereum, global 2nd blockchain after Bitcoin. To know more about Cardano blockchain, you can check here.
There are 3 founding entities of Cardano blockchain; Input Output (IO), Cardano Foundation, and EMURGO. IO is the tech and engineering company to design, build, and maintain the Cardano platform. Cardano Foundation is the independent standards body to supervise the development of Cardano and its ecosystem. EMURGO is the enterprise arm of Cardano to boost the platform through commercial ventures. Then, EMURGO Africa is a regional entity of EMURGO.
